What modules does the automatic garage door system consist of?

 1.Door structure system: 

As the support and presentation of the overall movement for automatic garage door, the door material (such as galvanized steel, aluminum alloy, etc.) and structural form (flap door, rolling door, side sliding door) determine the durability of the system. Common flap doors are horizontally hinged by multiple door panels, and the track system accurately guides the vertical movement of the door body; rolling doors use rollers to retract soft curtain panels; side sliding doors move in parallel to reduce space occupancy. ​​The thermal insulation and strength of the door body directly determine the internal and external environmental barrier capabilities and anti-theft performance. ​​



2.​​Drive power core: 

The motor undertakes the core task of converting electrical energy into mechanical energy. DC motors are known for low noise, low maintenance, and easy speed control, especially suitable for frequent start-stop scenarios; AC motors have stronger initial torque and durability. Solid-state relays (such as SSR) and power transistors in the electric control box constitute energy flow links and logic execution units. The transmission chain, gears, belts and other mechanisms transmit the motor rotation to the door body: the chain structure is sturdy and durable, but the noise is slightly higher; the synchronous belt is quiet but requires a larger installation space; and the direct drive motor solution can avoid wear and energy loss in the intermediate links. Ball screws and turbine mechanisms provide an efficient solution for smooth power conversion.

The control panel, wireless receiver and sensor constitute the system's nerve center. The core microprocessor (such as a single-chip microcomputer or PLC) receives user instructions (such as remote control signals) and environmental input data (obstacle signals, light levels), and outputs precise execution commands (motor start and stop, forward and reverse rotation, stroke setting) after program logic processing. Special control algorithms (such as PID closed-loop control) monitor the motor load current and speed changes in real time, and dynamically adjust the output power to maintain uniform speed operation. Advanced systems even have adaptive learning functions, which can intelligently fine-tune the stroke and force based on historical operation data to adapt to the slight deformation or resistance changes of the door body caused by the seasons.

​​4.Safety protection mechanism:​​

The light curtain or photoelectric sensor is the first line of defense, which can form an invisible protection net under the doorway (vertical light beam emission/reception). Once an obstruction is detected, the closing operation will be interrupted immediately; torque detection is the second line of defense. The motor control chip continuously determines whether the current exceeds the preset threshold (if there is a strong obstruction). Once it exceeds the threshold, the door body will automatically reverse to minimize the risk of clamping. The mechanical emergency unlocking pull rope or manual separation device ensures emergency activation in the event of a power outage to ensure basic traffic needs. In addition, the highly elastic rubber sealing strip or buffer structure at the bottom edge of the door body can absorb impact energy when there is a slight contact, playing the last protective role of physical buffering.

5.Other auxiliary equipment:

​​Such as lighting strips, which automatically supplement the ambient light source when the light is insufficient; battery backup power supply (UPS) provides several times of on and off capability in the event of a sudden power outage; built-in status indicators (such as LED light colors to distinguish operating conditions) provide preliminary diagnostic basis for maintenance.
